Why bother with us believers. It we believe out of faith then we already know it is illogical and God's existence cannot be proven. So why come here and try to argue logic with us. Isn't your arguing futile? If you want to argue with our behavior-be it religious or otherwise-that is one thing. But our belief. Get real. If you can't convince us believers then who are you arguing for?
Maybe you're not as convinced as you think you are. What about it? I'm just curious.Grasping at straws, are we?
I am here to offer opinion and facts were they are needed.
So far I have had 7 pseudo-Christians come to me for information about Pantheism.
I do not want to convert anybody, but if someone has already decided and want some help, I'm here for them.
I am spiritual and this is Religion and Spirituality.
Perhaps you too are second guessing your faith.

I have told people on here about Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Taoism, Shintoism, etc. I have studied the major world religions, and I probably know the Bible better than you do. You act as if your belief is the only one permitted, but that is wrong. The First Amendment forbids a state religion. It also gives us all freedom of speech that such tyrants as you try to deny. I want to see what lies you believers tell about atheists and people with other religions. I defend my opinions, and I report people who go too far. There are many who try to pretend Genesis creation is scientific and try to have it taught in public schools as science. Some of them are in this category, so I reply to them. I have many Best answers in this category, since I know the Bible and other sacred texts. your viewpoint here is quite anrrow. Take a look at the questions on this page alone. you should find some that show you are uttering nonsense. I pity you in a way.You guys won't let us take "In God we Trust" off the money, so we have to try and convince you there is no God to trust.It makes their little lives seem more important. Plus, they like being around Gods love. *drink*ever noticed religiously influenced laws? Attempts to get creationism introduced into the science curriculum? Ever heard of George Herbert Walker Bush saying that atheists should not be regarded as american citizens? Ever wondered who keeps gay people from getting married?
Just a few examples. No we shouldn't use logic to run the government, we should use religion? Whose religion? You are not interested in those questions at all?

or perhaps its because of the constant pressure from the religious folk, a way to fight back in a sense. considering you go to the movies only to find religious nuts handing out pamphlets telling you not to see harry potter or golden compass. you go to the mall so that people can preach to you and try giving you their bible. even at your own home your not safe from preaching by the door to door religious salesmen.
if you dont like the atheists here, imagine what they think when they are harassed by believers out on the street...?Because I need something to do inbetween classes. Also, I try to get people to understand that evolution isn't evil, and that I do indeed have morals.Open forum.

Same thing here. Atheists want theists to know that we're here, and there are lots of us.it makes them curios about accepting god into their hearts.If I ever find an atheist who has something to share that can make a positive change in the lives of people who turn to atheism, I will start listening. But so far, I have NEVER met ANY one whose life has been improved by adherence to an atheistic world view.
I have known MANY people who have been set free from a lifestyle of drug abuse, alcoholism, and many MANY other life-controlling problems through practical application of Biblical principals. My wife and I both worked as counselors at a Teen Challenge program, which is a biblically-based program.
But when I one day asked someone what he has to offer, he couldn't really say anything.
Atheism as a world view can NOT help the downtrodden, nor the addicted, nor people with other life-controlling problems.
I once heard the true story of a traveling evangelist, and where ever he went to hold meetings, this one man kept following him and harassing him, and challenging him to a public debate.
The evangelist (whose name I can't remember) finally got so tired of this that he told the man that he would accept his challenge on one condition. The antagonist would have to bring at least 10 people whose lives have been drastically altered for the better by the application of atheistic principles. The evangelist said that he would bring 100 people whose lives have been drastically changed for the better by the application of Biblically Christian principles.
The antagonist left the tent meeting never to be heard from again.
