Which paraolympics events would an 'avarage' person beat a trained special athelete?

OK in the paraolympics the athletes there are not as fast or whatever as regular olympic atheletes because their disability puts them at a disadvantage. They are still trained atheletes however. In which sports would being able bodied but not a proper athelete be enough for you to beat someone who is a trained athelete but with a disability? Off the top of my head: Pole vault... maybe shot-put.

Those are my guesses. It would have to be done by a normal person close to physical fitness... not any fat shlub off the street.
  • none. check out the results. why would you ask such a question?
remember also that the paralympics is divided into 7 categories of disability.
  • Some of the high function Paralympic are not far off Olympic times.

If you want a sport that athlete with disability would beat abled body
I would say Goalball played with blind folds on as part of the rules of play.

And calling some one special because they have a disability is not really something people with disability aprove of.

And some judo athlete who a vision impaired would be able to win against a lot sight people
  • Track Cycling !
  • Well, Sarah Storey's (Cycling) time in the 500m Women's Ind. Pursuit would have got her in the top 8 if she was competing at senior level!

Natalie Du Toit (swimming) did compete in the Olympics, she came 16th out of 24!

So that's a start, but I guess a paraolympican would not beat a gold medalist olympic athlete, but they can match some of the competitors!
