  • For the same reason people make prints. Just another form of display... I don't think there's any deep pyschological relevance to it.

  • What do you think, why do people upload their phoots on the websites?To be famous or simply to show them?


  • I think it's a matter of having the feedback, immediate and a bit anonymous--that the web offers; as opposed to slaving over the Great American Novel only to wait for months while some editor has his way with it (no, I'm not bitter)--the web allows you to receive a critque almost as soon as its uploaded. I don't believe it's to get famous; it's too damned easy to get famous these days.


  • I think we all want some form of validation in what we are doing.


  • Generally photographers are interested in getting there photos seen by as many people as possible. That is the beauty of the web. I do not know of that are in to be famous.
