Steve Biko, the South African anti-apartheid activist, died in 1977.
At his funeral, the congregation of over 15,000 sang, unaccompanied
and in glorious harmony, the protest song "Asikatali". I remember
seeing it on TV at the time. I have searched in vain to find a
recording of this, either audio or video. Can anyone find a source, in
any format?Oh, I understand. If I happen across it I'll let you know.
Good luck;
tutuzdad-gaYou can get the song here VERY REASONABLY on CD. Does this suffice as an answer?

tutuzdad-gaNo, I have the song itself on several recordings (some featuring
myself :-) ) It's the actual performance at Biko's funeral that I
should like.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
