Ok I need some help here (oh btw Im n00b)
So I write shows review for a website and now Im going to take pics aswell. I got a D40. I took some pics last nite and they look like crap. What gear should I get so my pics looks better OR what setting should I change?

When I put the cam in normal mode the flash just makes everything look like its daytime (horrible)

Maybe you can diffuse the flash with like wax paper. Or if you have something other than a built in flash you can bounce the flash off the ceiling maybe?

Yeah I think a portable flash would work better than the built in one.
