Rebrov almost certain to go to Fulham
It must've been weird for Keller to concede to his WC room mate McBride though. I bet McBride took the piss afterwards. The headline should've been
'McBride laughs first, Keller longest'. Or maybe not.
Teddy still has a bit of class in him and should be kept on for the remainder of the season. Not sure about next season though. Les is almost certain to head across London in the next couple of weeks - best of luck to him. Thatcher and Sherwood should head out the door, now if we could offload them. Gus Poyet, like Sheringham, still has a bit of sparkle in him and has got us a few crucial goals this season. But he should come off the bench, not be a regular starter to preseve his game for the rest of the season.
I completely disagree about Freund. He may not be the showiest player in the pack, but he grinds out the games and puts in the tackles. So he picks up a few cards, but he adds considerably to our fairly miserable defence at the moment. The 4th worst defence in the league is not pretty. Richards is badly needed, King and Bunjiececiv are not cutting the mustard. We need another top class central defender, Carr is making good but the left full back spot is not that solid. Ziege is showing his age, and Thatcher is a no-no who could get turned by my Granny's pet racing turtle.
Anderton needs to be hitting the bench more often and Davies given a good run on the wing.
Keane has to be the best buy in nearly a decade. He's not a net hogger, but he works his ass off and scores some pretty spectacular goals - his performance against Everton was A1.
We're still looking good in the table too. A couple of draws for the teams above us, and a win against Villa on Saturday could put us back into 5th. And then hold on tightly for a roller-coaster for the rest of the season. We won't make a top 4, but top 6 is certainly achievable on current form and strength.
Ricketts would be interesting if Glenn could land him, as losing Rebrov and Sir Less won't damage us at all. And no way should we sell Davies. The lad's maturing nicely, and should become a driving part of a top class squad at the Lane.
