'Now Playing' Playlist Clear Not Working

  • It's been a while since I've used a more recent version, I had been using a version that was about 6mo old (xbox died and had to get a new one). Since I've been messing around with this again, I've noticed that the music playlist does not work correctly.

    Maybe someone can try to replicate this problem. It's very consistent for me:

    1) On fresh boot the playlist / 'now playing' screen is blank as expected.
    2) Adding a song adds to the list as expected. This can be confirmed on the 'now playing' screen again
    3) Pressing 'clear' does not immediately appear to clear anything. The list remains. However if you select any of the items list, they do nothing. As if the list was indeed cleared, but the display has not removed them from the list.

    This problem seems to manifest itself in several ways. Once you have a playlist defined, it does not appear that replacing it with another (either by selecting another song, playlist etc) updates the 'now playing' screen. That page always shows the original playlist.

    Also, saving the playlist always saves the displayed list, not the list that is actually playing.

    Any thoughts?


  • No problems here, works just as expected. Did you upgrade / install correctly?? Try a fresh install and see if the problem persists.


  • OK, since you mentioned that its not a problem I started looking at a couple other things... I had been running XBMC from EVOX (as opposed to making it the dashboard). Since making XBMC the dash, no more problem. Thanks for your help!
