hey, i followed the instructions stated in the manual on running a mms stream - created file in notepad, gave it a .strm extention and had the url on the top line
however, i cannot connect to my desired stream.
at first it tells me a series of quick error messages that i cant make out, except the last one which says something to the effect of "try doing mplayer -playlist "
i tried this both through my music and my videos

could it be because i need a username and password to access this stream that it is messing up?

i tried the following types of playlists:

mms://password@path/
mms://path/
mplayer -playlist mms://path/
mplayer -playlist mms://password@path/

first two give me that rapid error, second two just tell me that i am unable to load the playlist.
i was able to stream mms protocol stuff allreay on things that didn't have a password, how do i make it work with one?
