i am now getting shortness of breath during physical activity, and dizziness and light headed along with my mitral valve prolapse getting worse.My heart will hurt up to an hour and stop for awhile and come back for another hour. Also it beats very hard and it skips and goes fast. Do you think all of the symptoms are from MVP or something else?Well, you should call the cardiologist a soon as you can, mention the symptoms you are having and get into see him.
You do not mention how old you are, who told you that you have MVP or if you are taking medicine for it.
As a MVP patient you should be aware that routine preventative care with your PCP as well as the cardiologist is a must, and you should be making sure that you follow these measures.
Good luck to you.You need to get in to see a doctor for tests.This kind of thing you can't put off.Sounds like MVP...get to a cardiologist as soon as you can and follow whatever they say. I had MVP and stupidly did not go to my cardiologist for nearly a year when she said I should come in 3 months. The only reason I went was I was retaining fluid, having palpitations, shortness of breath and was scared I had gone into congestive heart failure. She said I didn't have that, but that my MVP had got worse with severe regurgitation and I would need surgery within a month. The valve was repaired 7 weeks ago. I now feel fine, my heart functions normally and I went back to work this week. Don't delay having your ailment looked into! #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
