I dont know if they should be flopping around as much as they do?
i have an electric epiphone sg with all stock parts.
i havent changed the strings in a couple months so could that be the reason they are so flat sounding?
id like the strings to stay reasonably tighter especially when i tune down to c standard and dropped b.
would different tuners or a different piece of hardware also help with this?
thanxwhen you are tuned to standard E you use strings 9-42 when tuned to D standard try 11- 46 so when you are in C standard you should be using about 12-52. reason is, as you can see when you drop tuning the tension on the string decreases and you need to use heavier strings but you can not set up your guitar for this with the heavy strings and expect to change tuning back to E standard without using the right strings for it. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
