. latin help...?

  • i need to know how to say:

    Good bye

    welcome

    thank you

    fire and

    water in LATIN

  • Amplexor-ari-dep = To embrace, to welcome.
    Valedico-ere = To say goodbye.
    Aqua-ae f. = Water
    Grates agere = To express thanks.
    Accendo-candere-cendi-censum. = To kindle, set alight, to set on fire.
    Hope this helps.

  • Thank You = "Gratias ago" (I give thanks) or, more colloquially, just "Gratias"

    water = aqua

    Welcome (as a greeting) = Salve! ("Salvete!" to address multiple people)

    Fire = ignis (I think)

    Good bye = "Vale" (Valete for plural) -- you've probably heard the expression "Ave atque vale!" ("Hail and farewell!")
