I have deleted several people off my list and I receive messages from them still. Also I receive messages from people that are not on my friends list. I only want to receive messages from people on my friends list. Thank you.if you use yahoo messenger"
Go to "preferences" and then at " ignore list"
there add their yahoo id.
Or at the the time they text you
click on the "ignore" sign or " report as a spam" sign.
Also for better results and for getting messages only from " your friends list"
Go to "preferences" and then at " ignore list"
and tick the "ignore anyone who is not in my messenger list"

click block userAnyone can send you an IM even if they're not on your Friends list...YM is notorious for IM spammers. The next time they send you an IM, there will be icons for "Add" and "Ignore", since they are no longer on your Friends list. Click on Ignore and you won't see their IMs any longer. YM keeps a list of your blocked IDs -- look in Preferences to see them.
