If were all gods children why was jesus so special?

  • Jesus is God's only Begotten Son which means not made or created. Jesus came from God's bosom. and yes is more then special. He is a darling who saves, and has compassion on people, and weeps for the lost, and who did his Fathers will on earth even though he was tempted to do his own thing. He said he came not to do his will but the will of the one who sent him, which is his Father Yahweh. The Father and Jesus are one. I hope that helped.


  • Jesus is God existing as a man. Christians are children of God but not God.


  • We are all God's step-children. Jesus is His biological child. Even God loves His biological children more than His step-children.


  • Because Jesus was part of the godhead. He was already God from the beginning. His "sonship" was not necessarily the same as ours. It helps portray his role in the godhead. Trinity doesn't mean Jesus and God are the same 2 physical entities. It means that "God" is one authority, and there are 3 entities who share in it with different roles.

    The whole point of the NT is that Jesus was only special in that he was also God in the form of man. He came to give God's gift of kingdom heirship and eternal life. He was the sign that a special change was coming to the world. He was the only one who could initiate the New Covenant with his perfect sacrifice and fulfill prophecy. And his miracles were needed to verify his authority.

    But Jesus then offered that we would share with him. God also promises we will be JOINT-HEIRS with Christ (Romans 8). We will all inherit the kingdom with Him, and he considers us brothers/sisters of God as well. God "adopts" us, so to speak. (still in Romans 8). And then what? He sends us the Holy Spirit (Acts) to show us that we can share in some of that power...reminding us we can be made Christ-like if we are obedient.


  • Hes special because had He not shed His blood for the sacrifice to our sins then we would all be in hell no matter our behavior or desires.


  • He was special because

    a) He was God's ONLY begotten son. The only being created by Jehovah God directly. Everything else came into existence THROUGH Jesus Christ. That is why he is referred to as "God's Master Worker"

    b) He was willing to leave that position beside his father in heaven to come to earth and live and die (a horrible death) as a puny human

    c) He was loyal to his father until death

    d) His blood, shed at his death, it the means to our salvation.

    About his being GOD, however, he is NOT. Never said he was and an unbiased reading of the Gospels tell you he and his father are two different beings.

    To add to your very VERY logical question.

    If Jesus is God who resurrected him when he died? Plus the Bible says that God is from "everlasting to everlasting" so how is it that he COULD die? Who was in charge of the universe WHILE he was dead?

    He is the Son of God...the anointed of God

    we are God's progeny but not his chosen one.


  • were all god's "special" children, or throwbacks, because we can't do all that freaky magic stuff jesus did, like water walking and making wine out of water.


  • we are Gods children in the sense that we are all descendants from Adam his 1st creation. and also we are spiritually born into his kingdom when we are born again.

    Jesus was born of God he is the almighty God wrapped in flesh.
    he is the only begotten son of God


  • Parents are not supposed to sit by and watch their children suffer and die, get raped, blown up and mutilated, abused, neglected etc and then do nothing about it either...... yet God the great Father, who can do anything, does just that.



  • Because he Mastered being Spiritual not Religious you just don't get it, maybe you need to research Jesus him self and not from the Bible check out the links below : )
