  • to tell the truth, i only started liking them because they are cute. but then i listened to their songs and fell in love with more things that they do. :)

  • Honestly, I probably wouldn't like them as much if they weren't as attractive as they are. Just telling the truth, they have pretty good music, but their looks are also a major part of their career.

    But, they all have great personalities and I think that everyone would still like them because of that.

    I have a friend who's 42 years old and weighs 425 pounds who can sing just like him. If it really was musica talent alone, then shouldn't he be just as popular?

    EDIT: Yes, I have to agree with you about Johnny Depp. Granted it doesn't mean a hill of beans to me how "hot" he is, but the man is a decently gifted actor.

  • If, they were ugly or not visually attractive, Disney would not spend a nickel on promoting them. Image sells, unfortunately that is the number one requirement. Singing comes second and cultural level of lyrics I guess, comes in last.

    The same thing happens with TV series. Comedies are a dime a dozen, but Pushing Daisies is in a class by itself. It's different and the dialogues are wittier. Disney is milking the tween and teen market, but I believe they are going a little overboard in their zeal to portray the plastic American teen culture.

    Just because they don't curse, and call girls beautiful instead of sexy (because that's what i like to hear. being called beautiful)


  • Most of the fans only like them for their looks. Notice most of the questions about them are Who's the hottest or Who would you want to date. When someone says they don't like the Jonas Brothers, they say "OMJ ur just jealous cuz they're hawt!!" If they were ugly (and I don't think they're cute) the fans wouldn't like them.
