  • I have lived around the Midlands all of my life, and never had contact with my parents. I believe my father died in 1962, my mother' i have no knowledge of her. I suspect she may no longer be alive, however now older it would be nice to see if i had any secret relatives


  • Rose A. McMahon was born in March 1920 in Tynemouth, Northumberland. Her mother's maiden name was O'Neil (Free BMD records, England).

    Abroo Miah, a Pakistani national, arrived at the Port of Oregon on the ship Streatham Hill on the 15 February 1957. His port of departure was Kobe, Japan.

    P. S. A second look at Ancestry.com offers one other possible candidate for your mother:

    Rose Ann McMahon
    born: 8 Jun 1917
    died: Feb 2004 St. Helens, Merseyside

    Also, could the given name "Abroo" be also spelled "Abdul"? If so, I've found an Abdul Noor Miah who was born 11 March 1929 and who died in December 1997 in Tower Hamlets, London.
