Today I bought Rock Band for wii. After trying out the guitar, I was like, the guitar can't possibly be this bad, can it? I mean, it works, but the strumming just feels weird and awkward. I can play expert on guitar hero easily but on Rock Band it's like I have to play on medium or something. I mean, am I doing something wrong? Any tips for me to get used to this guitar? Is just the partice more and more. The strumming feels different but is just because the guitar for rockband is more sensitive and you dont need to strum that hard like in guitar hero. I also got the problem at the beginning buty now i finish all the songs in 5 star in expert.its because they mass produce it. So they make it so fast that there cheap. So just get a guitar hero controller an use that. The rock band guitars are cheapFirst things first, the guitars from EA are normally crap when they first give them to you. I bought mine for a while back so maybe they'll have fixed the bugs like the strumming bar broken and the wammy bar broken.
Secondly, the guitars are two different kinds of beasts. The strumming on the Rock Band guitar is totally different from the Guitar Hero controller because the strum bar is made to be softer on the Strat controller. This is to reduce noise, though the fret buttons make a loud click on mine when you release them which defeats the purpose.
Thirdly, the fret buttons on the rock band controller are made wider on the top to make it feel more realistic for the user. If you're having trouble with the fret buttons on top then move down the neck to the lower buttons. This is actually beneficial in two ways. One, you don't have to stretch your fingers as much for chords and two, when solo sections come up and you only want to tap the notes, you don't have to move your hand from the top of the guitar and risk missing the note unless your muscle memory is so good that you can hit those lower notes without thinking about them.
All in all, these two controllers are entirely different and i recommend sticking with the GH controller if your problem continues, that is if you have one, otherwise you're just going to have to tough it out and get used to the rock band controller.
I hope this helped! :DI had the same problem at first but you have to strum up and down or just strum harder. and you have to be more accurate since the notes are skinnier.I know what you mean, I have tried strumming lighter sometimes and that has really helped and other times I really need to hit it down hard because it seems like it isn't reading what I am doing. I like Guitar Heroes controller it clicks when you strum at least.there is a great guide to fixing your rockband guitar over on hack5. the videos at youtube http://youtube.com/watch?v=d-j6QmPGS_Q#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
