hi, my name is hashem and i live in jordan.my question is about how
can i defeat regional lockout in dvd players and playstation 2 without
violating the law.
The regional code in jordan is 2 but i want to play dvds which are
not region 2(most of them are region 1 because they come from the
u.s.a).
is installing a modification chip into the dvd player illegal in
jordan?and does the legality of defeating the regional lockout depends
on where i live or from where is the dvd player or from where did the
dvd itself came
from .and is buying a region free dvd player legal even if i played
dvds which have certain region code on them.
same question about playstation 2?
note:i brought my playstation2 from china and it is ntsc-j.
note:my dvd player is lg.
please ask me any questions if you needed.thanks.Most DVD players can be set to play universal DVDs by using a hidden
code built into the firmware. Have a look here and see if your DVD
player is listed. Follow the simple instructions and you can play any
regional code DVD. If the manufacturers didn't want you to do this
they would not make the code so easy to access.Sorry I forgot to post the link
http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/hackable.aspI don't know what's legal in Jordan, but region-free DVD players are
easily, if somewhat expensively, available on the web. At least some
of the suppliers offer
international shipping, although I understand you already own a player.
If Jordan has not enacted a law, which might have been forced upon it
by treaty with the US, which is a local version of the Digital
Millennium Act, then I suspect there's no problem. This
law, if in effect, makes it illegal to defeat technical means of
protection, under which definition region coding might come.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
