She competed in the 10km marathon swimming event in the Olympics, where she finished 16th. She competed in the 2004 Paralympics, where she won 5 golds and a silver medal. She is currently competing in the Paralympics and has already won three gold medals in the S9 category.
Natalia Partyka, a Polish table tennis player who was born without one of the forearms, competed in table tennis in the 2008 Olympics. She recently won the gold medal in her category at the Paralympics, as she did in 2004.
American runner Marla Runyan, a visually impaired person, competed in the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Paralympics, winning 5 medals in total.
