CSS & Flash

  • Hello!

    This is my first post. I'm wondering if anybody can help me with a problem im having with flash 8 and CSS. Currently im loading text from a .txt file into a dynamic text box and styling this via an external stylesheet document, all works well and can style font size and colour. The problem is I when I try and style the text bold or italics the text disappears!! If anyone can help that would be most appreciated.

  • You'll need to embed those fonts into your library probably. If you embed a font into the library, you can set the linkage identifier - then in css, you can assign the font as that identifier. You may have to embed several fonts, italic, regular, bold etc. If you're using device fonts, bold/italic should work I think. But if you've just embeded a non-system font into your textField, chances are, it didn't embed italic/bold versions.
