I HAVE A SORE THROAT AND A COLD , I'M 6 MONTHS PREGNANT ALSO ,CAN I TAKE ANYTHING FOR MY COLD AND SORE THROAT???????????/ hi.personally i dont take anything.if you feel that bad ring up the chemist and get some advice.hope you feel better soon

i think you better off with natural things, such as drinking hot drinks and soups.

try this:

1 eggs yolk
1/2 cup of milk
1 tbs of honey

mix it all and heat it up, it should turn thick like custard. if you dont like it try hot custard. if nothing changes call your doctor.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am 29 weeks pregnant and had a bad cold about a month ago, i phoned my midwife
to see if i could take anything for my throat and she said to ask the chemist for simple linctus cough medicine its what they use on the wards and safe to use in pregnancy.If you feel really ill paracetemol is safe to use in moderation but nothing stronger.

you could try hot tea with honey for your sore throat, but unfortunately, there aren't many meds a preggy can take. i use tylenol when i feel bad and that's about it lol. feel better, though.

I'm 6 weeks, and have a history of tonsillitis. Was supposed to get them out next week [after waiting a year and a half on a waiting list] But cant now.

The doc said penicillin is safe to take during pregnancy. But not sure if it'd help with a cold haha..

gargling with warm salt water sucks, but it should be good for the sore throat. also, you might try boiling some water with some vicks vapo rub in it and then breathing the steam. if you have runny nose symptoms you can take benadryl. as for a stopped up nose, i dunno what you can take. google it.

I would talk to your Dr. or Pharmacist & see what advice they have to offer. Until then I would eat soups/ broth & drink juices with vitamin C. Take care & get well soon
