i bought a xbox recently and moded with duax modchips. i can't play vcd directly from vcd disc but i play it if i copy the vcd file to
xbox? can anyone help me?my dvd-rom is samsung but still can't play orignal vcd disc. can we installed pc-dvd writer into xbox?i thot all the dvd-rom is universal, can read all kind of media. maybe you are right. thanks.my dvd-rom is samsung but still can't play orignal vcd disc.the faq havent' been updatated in a while, in xboxes manufactured after mars 2004 (ie. xbox 1.6 and later) not even the samsung dvd-rom drive can read cd-r media, see discusssion thread here (http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.pl?act=st;f=10;t=15869).

some drives accept limited cdrw but its just lck. i have 2 xboxes & have tried dozens of different media & neither has ever played a cdr with any media stored on it at allhow i play them is my sharing the dvd drive on one of my pc's and browsing the that and streaming it over the lan.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
