I think an Athiests life is just the same as a religous persons. So, whats the point? One of the biggest reasons people flock to religion is because they need a guide. They need someone to tell them whats right and wrong. So basically it's all about morals and sh*t. So if your an Atheist but have good moral values, there really is no difference. People also flock to religion because they afraid of death and dying, they need something more. There are a few people however who actually believe in their religion and i respect that.We don't believe that their is a god, and we don't want anyone shoving their religious beliefs down our throat. We wanna live in a world where laws are not made based on religious beliefs. Religion can be dangerous, people discriminate against other people based on religious beliefs. People should be allowed to believe whatever they want, but not force other people to think that way as well. But yes if we all have good morals then we are kinda the same...but a lot of so called religious people are lacking morals. They don't believe in god, thats their point.Although I sound more like an atheist, I actually consider myself agnostic because I can't say with any certainty whether or not God exists. Who knows, maybe she does - and won't I be surprised!
(If God doesn't exist, the believers will be neither surprised nor disappointed; merely dead.)Atheism is simple the absence of a religious belief, if we go on your idea that both lives are the same then the default would be atheism, being religious would beg the question "whats the point".The Point? The point of not having a religion? Yes we are the same as a religious person for the most part. We eat, drink, go to work, school, have SO's, bleed, and judge people, we get cough due to cold... and sometimes we rock out in the car to cheesy glam rock
The point is that the way you feel about needing religion is the exact same way we fell about needing something else. Alot of people believe that athiest don't believe in anything ...that's not true. We believe in lots of stuff.. it just doesn't happen to be A or Many Gods. I believe in love.. and cookies.. and rocking out to cheesy glam rock..but that's just me#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
