my glove seems too big for my hand
its not broken in all the way yet
will that change the way it fits??
also will it affect my game if the glove is too big
the size of your glove will only affect your game if your playing shortstop or second base. for those you need relatively small gloves.its much better to a smaller glove rather than a glove that is too big
breaking it wont help it fit you better, it will only loosen the leather and will make it harder to keep on your hand. try to tighten the laces to see if it makes it tighter
if you cant make it tighter and fit you, try to find a new glove that either fits you perfect or is a little snug. if its snug just break it in and it will come to fit you perfectlyIt could affect your ability to grip the ball in the glove. To break it in better, put a ball in the glove and then warp a rubber band or something of that sort around the glove. Also it helps to oil the glove as well.Yes, if it's bigger than your head it's a little too big. It should be about the same size, otherwise your glove is going to slip when you're making a play. P.S. the bigger gloves are for outfield, smaller for infield. Also breaking it in will only allow you to stretch it out more.Breaking it in usually makes the glove bigger...
Get a new glove, but also a second opinion on it's size. Some people think it's big when it really isn't.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
